We had a fantastic stay at this hostel! The location was perfect, just a short 2-minute walk from the beach. The common area was colorful and inviting, with a fully equipped kitchen for our use. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. The room was clean and comfortable, with a sink and small lockers available. We didn't even need to bring a lock! The hostel had a great vibe, and we loved meeting new people at the bar downstairs.
Couldn't stay longer, wanted to enjoy the hostel and the beach even more.

Super friendly staff, always ready to help. Great breakfast options and good coffee. Close proximity to the beach and a nearby supermarket. Fun activities organized by the hostel.
Strong unpleasant smell of vomit and smoke throughout the property. Smoking allowed in most areas, making it difficult to avoid.

We had a great time at this hostel! The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the beach. The rooms, toilets, and showers were all super clean, which was really impressive. The girls who worked there were incredibly friendly and always ready to help. The atmosphere at the hostel was very chilled out and relaxed, exactly what we were looking for. The breakfast was decent, and we were happy to find plant-based milk available for our coffee. We would definitely consider staying here again in the future.
That we were allocated a basement room that was connected to the staff room by curtains. While we expected to share the room with 16 other people, we were a bit uncomfortable sharing it with the staff as well.

I recently stayed at The Flying Pig Beach Hostel for 3 nights during my trip to Noordwijk. The bar had a beach-like ambiance and reasonable prices, making it a great place to hang out. The beds and rooms were clean, and I even noticed a second check from management. The breakfast had all the essentials, including bread, juice, ham, cheese. What stood out the most was the happy atmosphere among both the guests and staff. I had a great experience and highly recommend this unique and affordable hostel.
I highly recommend this hostel.

There were a few aspects that could be improved. the bunk beds were quite shaky, making it feel like an earthquake whenever the person below moved.

Riding my bike under the sun, exploring museums, and hitting the waves with Lex Surf School. Shopping, art, and stunning views at the Burcht Van Leiden. Oh, and the diverse collection at the museum was just delightful!
Not being able to bring my computer or big bags into the room was such a thoughtful feature. not. But hey, who needs privacy when you have uncomfortable prison-like bunk beds?

Super friendly helpful staff and well-equipped clean kitchen. Good location close to the seashore and the noisy bar is isolated from the rooms, allowing for a good night's sleep. Plenty of interesting characters to meet and a communal feel to the hostel.
Bathrooms are not clean or comfortable, and there is a chance of getting dirty plates at breakfast as they are washed by other guests.
